Sujit Choudhry was born in New Delhi, and later on, moved together with his parents to Canada. Both his father and mother had professional careers. His mother was a nursing teacher, and his father was an economics tutor at the University of Toronto. He developed his love for the legal system, as he was raised on a right academic path. He got his education and graduated from the University of Toronto School and McGill University. Later on, Professor Sujit obtained a law degree from the University of Oxford and then from the University of Toronto he acquired his LL.B. From Sujit’s page, Sujit Choudhry has written constitutional law especially the Canadian one and has published more than one hundred articles, reports, book chapters, and working papers. Sujit Choudhry is a well-known expert in comparative constitutional law and was the first individual of Indian origin to be named dean of best US law school. He was the dean of UC Berkeley School of Law in the year 2014 to the year 2016. Sujit Choudhry participated in the Middle East activities and was acting on behalf of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. Sujit Choudhry also influenced many government strategies and has held many other positions at government agencies. Professor Sujit Choudhry is also an active member of the United Nations Mediation Roster, the United Nations Development Program, and has been a consultant to the World Bank Institute.
