Sujit Choudhry – Improving Politics Through The Center for Constitutional Transitions

During his interview, Sujit Choudhry discussed some important aspects related to The Center for Constitutional Transitions, an organization the he organized and initiated.

As per Sujit Choudhry, he established The Center for Constitutional Transitions because it was vital to provide an entity that would assist governments around the globe to build their constitution. And as he went on with his work he found out that constitutional advices is insufficient, and to be able to address the situation he created The Center for Constitutional Transitions (constitutionaltransitions.org).

Sujit Choudhry also said that as an immigrant from India, and having studied law in three different countries gave him a unique viewpoint of legal and political circumstances. Ae knowledge he has accumulated was the fundamental basis for his professional success. And he commented that the United States of America must look at the real reason why democracy has not been fully integrated in all the countries all over the globe because there is a defect in the country’s democratic exceptionally that has always been taken for granted.

He went on to mention that people from all walks of life must learn to not only listen but to respond appropriately as well, and to put themselves in the shoes of others. It is crucial not to always presume to know the real thing, and to have a particular mindset on how things should be, because if some things do not happen according to one’s expectation then the disappointment will be great. The best thing to do is to use every occasion or situation that happens as a learning factor to be able to create a better result. Constant improvement on how to manage things must be done to accomplish the proper goal.

Sujit Choudhry enthused that he was never really aware of the good that came out of his personal and professional undertakings, although he realized that the biggest achievement he was able to do was to bring forth professionals and authorities altogether on a common ground.
